Tom Bean ISD Mask Guidelines
With the recent executive order announced this week by Governor Abbott, Tom Bean ISD would like to clarify that we will continue to enforce all existing social distancing guidelines that have been in place since the beginning of the school year. All Tom Bean ISD visitors and employees will continue to be required to wear face coverings. All Tom Bean ISD students at the middle school and high school campuses will continue to be required to wear face coverings.
Although the mask order will be lifted in Texas, school districts are required to continue to conduct contact tracing when someone contracts the virus, and we are required to continue to establish quarantine periods. Not requiring face coverings in the school setting will likely increase the number of students or employees who will be required to quarantine due to close contact, and could potentially increase the number of students or employees who have contracted the virus.
Again, face coverings continue to be required for all TBISD employees and visitors. All middle school and high school students will continue to be required to wear face coverings. We will continue to implement all social distancing guidelines.
As always, we appreciate your support!
