Mr. Billy McCoy

I've had the privilege of serving as a Texas educator for 25+ years.  My wife and I have been married for three decades and we have two grown daughters.  I enjoy spending time reading, gardening and attending sporting events.  It is truly a pleasure to serve as a 5th grade teacher at TBES!  Proud to be a Tomcat!

Additionally, I have set up a personal phone number just for school use.  Contact me directly at (281) 810-1169 at any time.  I will be glad to visit with any student or parent about any questions you may have.  Thank you, Billy McCoy

  • Online Academic Learning

Students, Parents and Guardians:  I sincerely hope that ALL students that are able will take advantage of online academic enrichment activities....particulary during extended times when school is dismissed.  My hope is that all students that have access will engage in Education Galaxy, Studies Weekly, Moby Max, etc. Students are familiar with Ed Galaxy, Moby Max, and Studies Weekly from use at school and should know their login information.  Additionally, there are numerous other digital learning tools that can enrich learning.  I encourage you to keep that brain learning and in shape! Thank you, Mr. McCoy

  • READ to SUCCEED!!!

Students that regularly silent read to themselves, listen to someone else read and follow along, or listen to audio books increase reading fluency levels!

*** When school is dismissed for extended periods of time, students should read a book or other reading material a minumum of 150 minutes per week...this will help maintain reading fuency levels! ***
